The architect behind Longtree;
his sacred geometry background
Meet Robert A. Armon

Robert A. Armon, Architect AIA, NCARB, has been practicing in Colorado since 1971. He currently holds architectural licenses in six states and is sole proprietor of an office in Denver with residential, commercial and urban planning projects. Emphasis is placed on sustainability, environmentally responsible buildings, and sacred principles for all projects.

He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois in 1971 and a Master of Architecture degree from Cranbrook Academy in 1978. His two year master thesis was a study of Sacred Geometry and applications to architecture. Continued education has been through the Kairos School of Sacred Architecture and The Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture in special programs

 

under the direction of Dr. Keith Critchlow.

In 1996 he founded the Academy for Sacred Architectural Studies with Dr. Phillip Tabb, currently Professor and Director of Architecture at Texas A&M University. This non-profit institute is dedicated to remembering the sacred in art, craft and architecture with specific emphasis on methods of application. The Academy conducts seminars and workshops throughout the United States.

Robert has been teaching on a continued basis in colleges, institutes and universities in Colorado and New Mexico. He also practices the sacred arts of tile geometry, Byzantine-Russian Orthodox icon painting, Celtic knot and labyrinth design, and the application of sacred geometry in art and architecture.
